Roles and Responsibilities of College core committee

  • The College Core Committee is constituted to plan, review and implement policies made by the Governing Body and give strategic direction to the college.

  • The Committee meets once in every month to discuss the academic performance and to take decisions on all matters.

  • It is responsible to conduct examinations in conformity with the rules of Andhra University.

  • Budgetary proposals are reviewed by the Committee.

  • Proposals for recruitment of staff, variation in intake, new courses and implementations of faculty development and career advancement programmes are discussed.



VICE PRINCIPAL - ACADEMIC:


  • Providing job description to the faculty members.

  • Coordinating with library committee to ensure availability of all the required books as per syllabus before commencement of each semester.

  • Monitoring preparation, updation and standardization of Lab manuals along with senior professors in the Institute one month before the commencement of the Semester.

  • Collection & verification of Course material & PPT certified by academic committee of the Institute from all the faculty members of the Institute.

  • Ensuring completion of syllabus on time & weekly verification of syllabus completion status.

  • Periodic verification of academic responsibilities of the faculty members in the Institute.

  • Preparation of time table and its display on the concerned class notice boards.

  • Ensuring class / lab work as per time table.

  • Verification of adjustment & conduction of class / lab work of the faculty applying leave.

  • Conducting MID exams & Mock tests.

  • Verifying internal marks, internal booklets and submission of Internal Marks to AU.

  • Submission of any other required report to Academic council / Examination cell.

  • Preparation of list of weak students in each class & ensuring improvement in results by conducting tutorial classes, slip tests etc. Identifying meritorious students & guiding them for further improvement.

  • Preparation of result analysis and display of 5 toppers details with their photos on the class notice boards.

  • Appointing faculty members in the institute as Class teachers and Lab I/C.

  • Ensuring minimum of 75% attendance of all the students in the Institute.

  • Student's affairs - Coordinating with mentors & Class representatives for ensuring students regularity, punctuality & discipline.

  • Preparation of remedial classes schedule for failure students in ensuring better results.

  • Ensuring conduction of guest lectures, workshops & seminars.



ASST. PRINCIPAL - ADMIN:


  • Maintenance of assets in the institute and also maintenance of assets personal files, lab asset registers and institute asset registers.

  • Identifying infrastructure requirement for the Institute, including it in the budget, preparation of indent and getting it approved from the management.

  • Issue of No Due Certificates for the students & staff.

  • Monitoring due status reports for the staff.

  • Issue of No Objection Certificates to students.

  • Submitting semester wise stationery, chemicals, glassware and other consumables requirement to the stores of the institute. scheduleTo obtain contacts and do correspondence with reputed material & equipment suppliers/ service providers through networking, based on the requirements of the college to maintain state-of-the-art laboratories for students to enjoy learning through experiments

  • Collection of stationery and consumables from the stores and also coordinating with the stores for purchasing the assets for the institute.

  • Preparation of institutional budget which includes guest lectures, seminars / workshops grants, consumables, maintenance of assets (AMC charges, repairs, etc.) and purchase of new assets. Getting the budget approved from the management and ensuring the expenditure according to it.

  • Sanction of leaves to non-teaching staff.

  • Ensuring staff discipline in the institute.

  • Correspondence with parents about student's attendance, discipline & academic performance as mentioned in mentor responsibilities.

  • Submission of attendance reports to Andhra University.

  • Coordinating with placement cell and providing the students data.

  • Ensuring smooth functioning of different committees of the college.

With an objective to increase efficiency, transparency, clarity and accountability in the preparatory works leading to accreditation/recognition/approvals from NBA, AICTE, PCI,SBTET, Affiliating University and such other regulating bodies, a program assessment and quality improvement committee was constituted in July 2016.


Roles and Responsibilities of Programme Assessment & Quality improvement committee

  • To develop a system for conscious, consistent and catalytic action to improve the academic standards/performance of the institution.

  • To promote measures for institutional functioning towards quality enhancement through best teaching-learning practices.

  • To be fully informed about the program assessment, quality improvement, quality assurance standards and peer review processes with reference to NBA.

  • To conduct awareness meetings at regular intervals for faculty, non teaching staff and students so as to make them fully aware of the importance of quality improvement, quality assurance standards and peer review processes.

  • To provide feedback and recommendations to the Principal with regard to all issues related to program assessment and quality improvement processes from time to time.

    • Maintenance of Service books.
    • Maintenance of College Operational Manual.
    • Strategic planning for the institution.
    • Policy development on the basis of SWOT analysis.

With an objective to increase efficiency, transparency, clarity and accountability in the preparatory works leading to accreditation/recognition/approvals from NBA, AICTE, PCI,SBTET, Affiliating University and such other regulating bodies, a program assessment and quality improvement committee was constituted in July 2016.


Roles and Responsibilities of Grievance Redressal committee

  • To attend promptly on the receipt of written grievances from the students and staff.

  • To deal with all the academic and administrative grievances at institute level.

  • To ensure a democratic environment in the campus.

  • To review the cases attended and the number of pending cases, if any, which require guidance from the management.


Redressal Mechanism

With an objective to look after the various processes pertaining to the maintenance of Library activities of the institution, a committee namely Library committee was constituted.


This committee takes the overall responsibility of developing and implementing Strategies for the effective maintenance of library of the institution so that the students, staff and all other stake holders will get more access & benefit of all the services extended by library. Other particular terms and references for the committee will be as follows:


Roles and Responsibilities of Library committee

  • To play an advisory and advocacy role regarding the library in its support of teaching, learning, research and other academic activities in the institution.

  • To initiate in administering various processes such as identification of learning resources, evaluation of available resources in its use and procurement of identified resources.

  • To facilitate in conduct of awareness programs for students on the matters related to library resources availability including e-content.

  • To do correspondence with reputed book and e-content distributers through networking based on the college requirements.

  • To ensure that the necessary procurement procedures are properly followed and documented.

  • To provide feedback and recommendation to the Principal with regard to all activities of the library from time to time.

  • To check out action plans for all round development of the library and their implementation.

Roles and Responsibilities of admissions committee

  • The committee looks after the student admission process for the prgrammes of the college.

  • This committee reviews admission requirements for the programmes annually.

  • Admission into the programmes takes place by web coucelling where the students have the chance of opting the college of their choice. In this process, the committee takes an initiative of helping the students who come from remote areas.

  • Admission committee checks the list of allotted candidates displayed in the admissions web portal.

  • It monitors student’s reporting, certificate verification and filing procedures.

Roles and Responsibilities of Examination Cell

  • Examinations incharge is responsible for the smooth conduct of internal and practical examinations.

  • Preparing sessional exam schedules as per academic calendars of A.U and allotting suitable rooms for examinations and assigning invigilators

  • Spot evaluation of answer scripts in examination cell, preparation of marks statements and maintenance of all records related to internal examinations.

  • Registration of students for final exams through Examination Management System provided by Andhra University.

  • Display of results and issue of marks memos received from Andhra University.

Discipline will be upheld as a positive value, promoting the educational and social engagement of all students within the institute. At student's level, where there is cut-throat competition and time is extremely precious, self-discipline is something students should aim to achieve. It is a rare quality which one has to inculcate, nurture and cherish from early childhood. Through self-discipline will come concentration which will in turn help a student to scale newer heights of academic excellence.

  • The committee tries to inculcate the feeling of accountability into the students by showcasing that they are responsible in all ways for upholding the reputation of the institution through their activities.

  • If students are found guilty of any misconduct such as,

    • Improper dressing, usage of mobile phones during the class hours,

    • Not attending the class work, training programme, workshop, and seminar organized in the college,

    • o Leaving the campus without the permission of class teacher. Smoking and consumption of alcohol, the disciplinary committee has the right to warn and impose punishments.

  • The Training and placement cell of our institution works continuously for improvement of student in personality development, spoken English, group discussions, seminars, subject knowledge, practical skills and resume preparation.

  • The committee concentrates on campus interviews for positions in the Pharma industry and marketing.

  • The committee maintains strong rapport with top most Pharma companies and regularly intimates the students through emails and displays in the training and placement cell notice board.

  • Eminent personalities from industry, academia and successful entrepreneurs are invited to make students understand the requirement of the industry.

  • Develop an annual budget by taking into consideration the requirements submitted by the college stores, examination section, individual Lab requirements, office requirements and maintenance.

  • Monitor adherence to the budget.

  • Present all financial proposals to the Principal.

Ragging means doing an act, which causes or is likely to cause insult or annoyance or fear or apprehension or intimidation or outrage of modesty or injury to a student? It is an act that violates or is perceived to violate an individual student's dignity.

Roles and Responsibilities of anti-ragging committee

  • The committee ensures that anti ragging instructions are displayed at prominent places in the college.

  • The committee makes surprise visits in girls and boys common rooms and other places vulnerable.

  • The committee conducts on the spot enquiry into any incident of ragging.

  • All the candidates seeking admission in our institution must submit an affidavit in accordance with regulating bodies duly signed by the candidates and parent / guardian to the effect that they are aware of the law regarding prohibition of ragging as well as the punishments, and that he/she, if found guilty of the offence of ragging, is liable to be punished appropriately, which can even include expulsion from the college.

To develop the various facets of personality of students, curricula must be supplemented with extracurricular activities. Extracurricular activities help in the development of intellectual, emotional and moral development. These are the activities which promote students to take up their study in a healthy manner, and their hidden potential can be harnessed. Extracurricular activities help to develop creativity and artistic talents among students. They also gain valuable skill sets by experimenting in a leadership role, working in collective efforts, or coordinating group tasks and meetings.

  • The committee takes the responsibility in organizing overall cultural activities which include the following

    • Formal approval and arrangement of programmes accordingly.

    • To frame the agenda of programmes to be conducted, list out the guests to be invited, arrange the venue and logistics.

    • To arrange mementoes and certificates for the planned events.

  • To check the regulating body notices and host the information.

  • To maintain an interactive website for alumni where they can post their inputs and suggestions to the college.

  • To provide feedback and recommendations to the Principal with regard to the website maintenance activities from time to time.
