Ragging means doing an act, which causes or is likely to cause insult or annoyance or fear or apprehension or intimidation or outrage of modesty or injury to a student? It is an act that violates or is perceived to violate an individual student's dignity.

Roles and Responsibilities of anti-ragging committee

  • The committee ensures that anti ragging instructions are displayed at prominent places in the college.

  • The committee makes surprise visits in girls and boys common rooms and other places vulnerable.

  • The committee conducts on the spot enquiry into any incident of ragging.

  • All the candidates seeking admission in our institution must submit an affidavit in accordance with regulating bodies duly signed by the candidates and parent / guardian to the effect that they are aware of the law regarding prohibition of ragging as well as the punishments, and that he/she, if found guilty of the offence of ragging, is liable to be punished appropriately, which can even include expulsion from the college.
